How to convert PNG to PDF

  1. 1Choose your PNG images or screenshots, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac).
  2. 2Sort them by name, or move pages up and down until the order is right.
  3. 3Choose a page size and margin.
  4. 4Click “Create PDF” and the PDF downloads.

Sharp screenshots, kept lossless

PNG is the usual format for screenshots, charts and diagrams because it stores every pixel exactly. With “Original quality”, images that have transparent areas go into the PDF losslessly, and transparent backgrounds stay transparent. Other PNGs are stored as high-quality JPGs, which keeps the PDF compact while text remains crisp.

Screenshots taken on a phone are tall and narrow. “Fit to image” gives each one a page of exactly its shape, which reads best on screen. For printing, choose A4 or US Letter: wide images automatically get a landscape page.

Taking screenshots for a bug report, a tutorial or a set of receipts? Name them in order (or keep the names your device gives them), then click “Sort by name” to put them in sequence in one click.

Frequently asked questions

Are transparent backgrounds kept?

Yes. Images with transparency are stored in the PDF as lossless PNG data, so the transparent areas stay transparent. On white paper they simply look white.

Can I paste screenshots instead of saving them first?

Yes. Copy a screenshot, then press Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac) anywhere on this page to add it as a new page.

What is a PNG file?

PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is a lossless image format that supports transparency. It is ideal for screenshots, logos and graphics, but it stores photos as very large files.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs inside your web browser using WebAssembly. Your photos never leave your device, and we never see them.

Is there a limit on the number or size of images?

No. Add as many as you like. Images are processed a few at a time, so very large batches may take a while on older phones, but there are no limits, watermarks or sign-ups.

What happens to photo metadata like location?

Hidden metadata (EXIF) such as GPS location, camera details and timestamps is removed from the images you download. The one exception is an image handed back unchanged because it could not be made any smaller.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, Linux and ChromeOS.
